Four steps from connection to recovered revenue

Every audit follows the same documented path. You can see which step your account is on at any moment.

  1. 01

    Connect

You add a restricted, read-only key or authorize the app on your billing platform. Setup takes about ten minutes, with no engineering work.

  2. 02

    Audit

RevenueLeak reads invoices, subscriptions, prices, coupons, refunds and disputes. It checks them against nine leak categories and prices every finding in dollars per month.

  3. 03

    Fix

You get a ranked list of accounts to fix, each with the reason, the amount and the action. Your team fixes pricing and discount issues in your own billing system.

  4. 04

    Recover

For failed payments, you switch on rules for smart retries, card updater emails and recovery emails. They run on their own and report every recovered dollar.

Nine places recurring revenue leaks

Each leak is small on its own. Together they take a real share of monthly recurring revenue, and the total only shows up as a number that goes down. The audit names every one.

Analyst highlighting rows on printed invoices

Failed renewals without a full retry schedule

A renewal fails once, gets one or two retries, and the subscription quietly ends.

We detect failed invoices and read how many attempts ran and on which decline codes.

The fix is a retry schedule by decline code plus recovery emails with a payment update link.

Estimate at 50k MRR$600 to $1,750

Cards that expire before the next renewal

Cards on file expire in the next 30, 60 or 90 days, and nobody asks for a new one.

We read card expiry dates against each subscription's next renewal date.

The fix is a pre-expiry email with a secure card update link.

Estimate at 50k MRR$300 to $1,000

Customers on legacy prices

Accounts still pay a price from an old price list, years after you raised it.

We compare every active price with your current list price for the same plan.

The fix is a ranked list for a planned price migration, with the monthly difference per account.

Estimate at 50k MRR$750 to $1,500

Upgrades that never billed the difference

Seats or plans changed mid-period, but the prorated difference was never invoiced.

We match plan and quantity changes with the invoices that should follow them.

The fix is a list of unbilled changes and a corrected proration setting.

Estimate at 50k MRR$250 to $750

Comped accounts that should pay

Accounts on a 100 percent discount or a manual comp keep using the product long after the reason for it ended.

We find fully discounted subscriptions with active billing activity and no end date.

The fix is a review list with the full price each account would pay.

Estimate at 50k MRR$500 to $1,000

Coupons with no end date

A discount meant for three months was created as forever, and it still applies on large accounts.

We read every coupon and promotion duration and the accounts it applies to.

The fix is a list of open-ended discounts ranked by dollars per month.

Estimate at 50k MRR$500 to $1,000

Refunds and disputes

Repeat refunds, refund patterns by plan, and disputes close to their response deadline.

We read refunds and disputes and group them by account, reason and deadline.

The fix is a review list with deadlines, so no dispute closes without a response.

Estimate at 50k MRR$200 to $500

Cancellations you could have saved

Accounts cancel right after a failed payment, or leave with a reason you could have answered.

We link cancellations to the payment history and cancel reasons before them.

The fix is a save list, pause instead of cancel, and cancel reasons in one view.

Estimate at 50k MRR$200 to $600

Abandoned checkouts and failed store renewals

On Shopify and WooCommerce, checkouts are abandoned and subscription renewals fail, with no follow-up.

We read abandoned checkouts and failed subscription orders from your store.

The fix is timed recovery emails with a return link to the saved cart or renewal.

Estimate at 50k MRR$0

What we read and what we never touch

A monthly finance document for the people who decide

The audit is a document, not a dashboard you have to interpret. It states the period, the method, each leak category, the dollar estimate and the accounts behind it.

Ready for the board and investor update

Export it as CSV or PDF and attach it to your monthly report. Every number traces back to invoices in your own billing system.

Do the arithmetic on your own numbers

Take your monthly recurring revenue and the share that fails at renewal each month. Count what your current retries leave unrecovered, then add legacy price gaps and open-ended discounts. If one recovered renewal on your average plan covers a month of Starter, the plan pays for itself the first time it works.

An audit trail your finance team can follow

Every finding keeps its source invoice, its rule and the date it was found. On Enterprise, the audit log records every action by every seat.
